About Kickstart fund
The Kickstart Fund (KF) supports the development and testing of innovative tourism concepts and events in Singapore, helping to boost the city’s appeal and grow quality tourism. KF focuses on ideas with strong tourism potential and the ability to scale.
Is my event eligible?
- Open to all legal entities (businesses, associations, government bodies).
- Projects must be customer- or business-focused events or concepts, such as pop-ups, B2B2C, B2B, hybrid, or virtual events across lifestyle or business sectors.
- Projects must not have started before applying (no work, payments, or contracts signed).
Note:
Eligibility is subject to STB’s assessment.
Foreign entities should partner with local entities (joint venture or consortium) to apply.
How Will My Project Be Evaluated?
Projects are assessed on their ability to:
- Attract more visitors
- Increase foreign tourists
- Generate unique media coverage
What Costs Can Be Supported?
- Funding is capped at $250,000 per edition (up to 4 editions over 4 years).
Covers third-party project costs, including:
- Professional services (e.g., audit, survey)
- Production (equipment, materials)
- Marketing
To qualify
Costs must be incurred, invoiced to, and paid by the grantee within the qualifying period.
How to apply?
- Prepare an executive summary (project objectives, description, schedule, and costs) using the provided template.
- Submit it to [email protected]
- An SECB officer will review and advise on your project’s eligibility.
- If eligible, submit a full application through the Business Grants Portal.
Estimated processing time
Processing takes up to 90 days from receipt of your completed, signed application and any supporting documents.
Grant Disbursement
Grants are reimbursed after verifying qualifying costs and meeting project deliverables. Grantees must submit an Agreed-Upon Procedures (AUP) Report and supporting documents, unless stated otherwise.
